Collection: Ievgen Suiunov
Born in Donetsk, Ievgen Suiunov pursued studies at the Donetsk State Music Academy, graduating in 2003 with dual specializations in Jazz and Academic Piano. In 2008, he entered the S. S. Prokofiev Music Academy, completing a degree in Composition in 2012 under the guidance of Professor Sergey Alekseevich Mamonov, Honoured Artist of Ukraine. Continuing advanced studies at the same institution, Suiunov completed an assistantship–internship (PhD) program in 2021 in the Composition class of Professor Alexander Nikolaevich Rudyansky, Honoured Artist of Ukraine.
Suiunov’s works have received recognition in numerous competitions. In 2009, he earned Second Prize in Musical Composition at the “In the Homeland of Sergei Prokofiev” competition in Donetsk, followed in 2011 by Second Prize at the Ivan Karabits Competition in Kyiv. More recently, in 2020, he received Third Prize at the Sixth International Composers’ Competition for Choral Works as part of the “Young Classics” festival in Vologda, along with the “Perspective” diploma at the “Choral Laboratory of the 21st Century” in St. Petersburg.
