I wrote this at the behest of my students as I would make fun of them when they were playing stiff by saying, “Well, we’re swingin’ now”. The kids badgered me into writing a swing tune for them by that title. I obliged and we enjoyed playing it. -Bene Davis
Suggested solos written out for tenor sax and trumpet 2. The solo section can be repeated as needed. All sections are featured in this tune with a playable sax soli prior to the final shout section. The piano part is written out, but changes are provided as well.
